This Georgian-style home was built in 1911 by famed architect Robert D. Farquhar for

the manager of Foothill Ranch, Charles Lindley. The home was later acquired by Mabelle Scott

Anderson, a pioneer in women's education and owner of an elite international girls school.

Following Mabelle's death, her grandson, acquired the Lindley-Scott House to

preserve the scene of so many happy memories. For the last 20 years, he and his

wife have been sharing the verdant grounds with wedding couples craving a serene,

elegant setting for their important day.

What is it that draws us to vintage houses? Maybe it's the sense of continuity and

permanence they give to our evanescent modern lives where the latest gadget is

obsolete before you get it out of the box. Old homes also remind us of the grace and

elegance of earlier days, when artisans had pride in their work, and people took their

time. You may never have thought you would visit the quiet college town of Azusa,

but it's hard to resist the lure of the historic Lindley-Scott House in the San Gabriel foothills.

Fees & Deposits:

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 30

days prior to the event. Rental fees range $900 - 1,200 depending on guest count.

Meals range $20 - 45 per person. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.

A $675 ceremony setup fee is additional.

Availability:

May - October, Sat. and Sun. only, 2pm - 10pm, one function per day. The Carriage

House will be available in 2001, offering indoor events year-round, daily, including holidays.
